The Cold Stars-Berlin Drum'n'Bass Posse formed in summer 1997.
Members at this time and 'til June 1997 were DJ Headcase, DJ TittyTwister, Hek 187 and mutant.
We played weekly at the Nontox. In december 1997 the Cold Stars Posse released a set of mixtapes Cold Stars Mixbag001 which an be ordered
here.
At march 1997 we started Monthly Sessions at the
with
different MCs (MC Looney Tunes, MC M.a.c.e.).
Highlights of the monthly Parties were Live Sessions performed by Hek 187 + M Trick (Crash Override) and
mutant. Brand new Tracks were played live from the computer and mixed with scratches and the voice of an MC.

DJ mutant played a track from the computer with Shadow Boxing-Breakbeats mixed with RB-338 basslines
interactively manipulated at realtime. DJ Hek 187 mixed live scratches and MC M.A.C.E. contributed
vocals to the hot stepping crowd.
The new Cold Stars consist of Hek 187 and mutant as residents. They are supported by
the Cold Stars resident MC M.A.C.E and varying DJs from da oldschool as well as newcomers.
